Meet, Anwar Ibrahim Call Prabowo an Old Friend

Nasional indonesia. Jakarta - The presidential candidate and General Chair of Gerindra, Prabowo Subianto, met with former Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. What was discussed?

The meeting was known through Anwar's upload on the @anwaribrahim Twitter account on Wednesday (11/14). Anwar uploaded writing along with a photo of himself with Prabowo. The two of them wearing black suits looked talking while standing up.

"Visited by an old friend who is also the General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, in the office overnight," Anwar wrote.


Asked for separate confirmation, member of Gerindra's DPP Communication Agency, Andre Rosiade, confirmed the meeting. Prabowo-Anwar meets in Malaysia.

Andre said Prabowo and Anwar discussed the issue of nationality. In addition, the two figures discussed strengthening Indonesia-Malaysia cooperation.

"He both indeed often discussed yes about his friendship, also the problems of the nation both faced by Malaysia and Indonesia and how to build closer cooperation and benefit of these two allied nations," Andre said on Thursday (11/15/2018).



He said the ketum and Anwar were indeed friends for a long time. According to Andre, the relationship between Prabowo and Anwar will have a positive impact on both countries.

"I think this is good. We know Mr. Anwar, God willing, the prime minister of Malaysia after the Mahathir era (Malaysian PM Mahathir Mohamad) and Pak Prabowo will be the 2019 presidential candidate later. This is good capital for both nations," Andre said.

Prabowo had met Anwar Ibrahim several times before. Both of them have met in May and August 2018.
