Waiting Time for the KRL to Bekasi Lama, Minister of Transportation, Call the Dual Track Project

Pos warta. Jakarta - Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi today conducted a review of commuterline or KRL trains. In the midst of the activity, he received information from the public about the length of time the train waited to Bekasi.

Budi also apologized. Because, currently the train line to Bekasi or the city train is used alternately by train outside the city.

"There was also a train who asked why Bekasi likes to wait, because right now the lines together with the ones outside the city. So sorry, it's a bit slow (when entering the train going to Bekasi)," he said during a review at Depok Baru Station , Depok, Saturday (1/5/2019).

Furthermore, to overcome this, the company is currently building a double-double track. The project was carried out so that the train lines in the city would not alternate with trains from outside the city.


He also targets the completion of a double-double track project in two years. Because, per day the project only has four hours of work time.

"So we will separate the city outside the city and within the city but it takes 2 years so that the city is not disturbed outside the city. Because one day we only wake up 4 hours window time," he explained.

"The train in Jakarta is up to 12 and 5 already has operations again. So we only have 4 hours," he closed.

Meanwhile, this morning Budi conducted a review of KRL service operations with the Director of PT KCI Wiwiek Widayanti.
